Librarian role development in the digital era: A critical analysis of librarian role in Indonesian and Australian academic libraries - Libraries Research Group at Charles Sturt University

This qualitative research project is aimed at investigating librarians’ roles in providing research services/support in Indonesian and Australian universities. The study addresses librarians’ social construction of their roles in higher education, and constraints faced by these librarians in playing their roles in response to the shift of tertiary level students and academics’ needs. Two groups of participants are involved in this study, namely librarians working in academic libraries and academic libraries’ managers/coordinators.
