Dr Anita Dewi - Libraries Research Group at Charles Sturt University

Lecturer, School of Information & Communication Studies

Anita’s research interests are in the areas of information literacy, professional identity, and work-integrated learning, including but not limited to placements. Prior to joining CSU, Anita spent her career as a professional in the academic library sector, hence she brings both academic and industry perspective into her research. Her current research projects include studies on library placement programs, academic librarian roles in Australia and Indonesia (international co-research), and impact of libraries on the communities they serve (co-research with Dr Asim Qayyum).

Our research focuses on key issues affecting the sector, examining the ways in which library and information services can be improved, and library collections enhanced, as well the role of libraries and librarianship in contemporary society.

Building on CSU’s position as the leading and largest provider of library education in Australia, we are ideally placed to be the group librarians turn to when they need an evidence base for their decisions, or new solutions to real-world problems.
