Dr Jessie Lymn

Lecturer, School of Information Studies

Jessie’s current and recent research projects consider non-traditional material in collections, arguing for a consideration of non-linearity, disruption, and productive effects. This critical, theoretically informed approach to collection practices is designed to further develop both professional practice and the resources available to researchers in a multitude of disciplines. Her research currently investigates student newspapers in university libraries, zines and fanzines in institutional and non-institutional collections, LGBTI+ material in GLAM sector institutions, and the records of migrant communities in archives and libraries.
