In this project, I will conduct a qualitative study using the Constructivist Grounded Theory (CGT) to investigate the joy of information in serious leisure. I aim to understand how engaging in serious leisure activities, with a focus on beekeeping, can provide people with a ground to experience joy in their interaction with information. I focus on beekeeping because of multiple reasons. Firstly, it possesses all the qualities of serious leisure. Moreover, beekeeping is a type of Utilitarian Leisure and provides environmental benefits, as bees play a critical role in pollination and maintaining healthy ecosystems. Thus, beekeeping is not only a hobby but also a practice for promoting sustainability and biodiversity. Moreover, beekeeping has become an increasingly popular leisure activity in recent years as more people are interested in sustainability. This has led to the development of Apitourism which creates opportunities for educational recreation or Edutainment.
